It’s that time again.
This tiny $30 gadget will project any website (including Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, HBO GO) from a Chrome Browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. One of the best parts about it is that you can easily bring it with you when traveling to strange lands (READ: IN-LAWS) that have TVs but no Blueray/Roku/the like.
Curried Chicken Salad
Add two tablespoons of curry powder to chicken salad and you have a sophisticated, savory twist on an old favorite. I make mine with apples (or grapes), toasted pecans, chopped cucumbers, and onions to mine as well for a delicious, texture-rich experience.
This blog — introduced to me by a wonderful colleague of mine (by way of Lena Dunham) — is one of the most amusing tumblrs I’ve seen. It highlights celebrity romantic relationships of days past. Scroll through and marvel at all the former pairings. Like Nick Cannon & Kim Kardashian! Helena Bonham Carter & Kenneth Branagh! George Clooney & Kelly Preston! Sofia Coppola & Keanu Reeves! Tracy Chapman & Alice Walker! Etc. See it for yourself.
Tinted Facial Moisturizer
It’s lighter than foundation, blends better than bronzer, and has great things like SPF in it. Cover Girl’s BB Cream has become a new staple in my nearly non-existent makeup regimen. It gives a subtle glow that helps me look slightly more awake when I roll out of bed for work in the mornings.
Never mind the corny title, this movie has all the qualities of a good rom-com: charming, sincere, funny, with good acting from a solid cast (Julia Louis-Dreyfus, James Gandolfini, Toni Collette…and Tavi Gevinson has a small role too!). Had I seen it a few weeks earlier, I most definitely would’ve included it here (right next to About A Boy & Emma).
